Flora Belle (Anderson) Hill

Flora Belle Hill, 88, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021, in Lake
Havasu City, Arizona. She lived much of her life in Needles,
California.

Flora was born in Archer, Texas, on July 21, 1932, to parents Floyd
Paul Anderson and Ruby (Lewis) Anderson. Flora met and married her
husband Glen Hill in Miami, Arizona. Glen was a U.S. Air Force
Veteran.

Throughout the years, Flora was involved with the Needles Desert
Community Hospital Advisory Board, the Needles City Council as a
member and as vice-mayor, the Women’s Needles Club, the Needles
hospital Candy Stripers, and the Needles Museum Club.

Flora also was involved with the El Garces renovation efforts, also in
Needles. Historically, El Garces was a Harvey House, train station,
hotel, and railroad dispatch station over the years. Flora was known
to give tours there.

Flora and her husband also owned Glen’s Jewelers for 37 years in
Needles. Flora also loved and collected dolls.

Flora is survived by Helen (Hill) Forbes, Glen Ross Hill, Jr., and his
wife Scharlene. She also is survived by two grandsons, one of Bullhead
City, Arizona, and one of Lubbock, Texas, as well as 10 great-
grandchildren. Flora also will be greatly missed by her two cats,
Calli and Cotton.

Flora is preceded in death by husband Glen Hill, Paul and Ruby
Anderson, and her sister Bea Graham.

A ceremony honoring Flora’s life will be hosted at a later date.
