| Published in Yuma Sun on Apr. 15, 2021 - Yuma, Arizona - Fred G. Freund, 88, went to be with his Lord September 25,2020 in Yuma, Arizona. Fred was born in North Dakota to George and Magdalena Freund the seventh of eight children. The family later moved to Omak, Washington where Fred graduated from high school. Fred joined the United Association of Steamfitters Local 32 in Seattle Washington and was a lifetime member. He also was a lifetime member of the NRA. Fred served in the Army National Guard from 1952 until his discharge in 1955. Fred married Charlene Amundson in 1957. They lived in Washington state and traveled extensively in their motorcoach and settled in Yuma. Charlene passed away in 2007. In 2010 he married Barbara Huston she passed away in 2020. Fred was an active member of Gloria de Cristo Lutheran Church and a member of the church choir. A special thank you to Pastor Timm and Jerry and Lissi Grill who were there for Fred before his passing. Cremation has taken place.
