Leopoldo Cordova

A wrestler, softball player, runner and above all a loving father.
Leopoldo Cordova went to be with the Lord on Friday April 16, 2021.

He was born February 13, 1956 in Flagstaff, Arizona and lived there
the majority of his life. He attended Mt. Elden Elementary School,
East Flag Junior High and Coconino High School. Leo excelled at
athletics as an Arizona State Champion wrestler, member of a National
softball championship team and champion runner. One of his greatest
passions in life was wrestling; he coached for eighteen years, molding
other young wrestlers into champions and instilling them with strong
lifelong values. A brilliant mechanic and machinist, he was also the
owner of Aspen Machine shop. After leaving Flagstaff, Leo moved to
Dallas, Texas and then Houston, Texas; he was a highly sought after
machinist in the field of aerospace engineering. In Texas he made good
friends and met his devoted wife Michelle.

Over his life Leo made an impression on others, he was truly unique,
kind, generous energetic and fun. He was deeply loved and will forever
be carried in the hearts of all those that knew him, he will be so
incredibly missed, this is truly a great loss.

Leo was a beloved wrestling coach, co-worker, son, brother, friend,
uncle, loving husband, grandfather and father. He is survived by his
wife Michelle Greer Cordova, his children, Leo Cordova; Dr Felina
Cordova-Marks; Ty Cordova; granddaughter, Maya Matson Cordova; ex-
wife, Teresa Martinez; his parents, Betty and Tim Cordova; and his
siblings, Hope Olguin; Joseph Cordova; Adela Eschelbacher; Teresa
Peek; Margaret Collins; Vivian Sosa; Anna Diaz and David Cordova.

Viewing for Leopoldo will be held Saturday April 24th 2021 10am-noon
at Lozano's Flagstaff Mortuary 2545 N 4th Street, Flagstaff, AZ 86004,

and

Graveside burial service will be held Saturday April 24th at 1pm 1300
S San Francisco St. Flagstaff, AZ 86001.
