Ray Otto Wooliever

Ray Otto Wooliever, age 78, passed away at his home in Fort Mohave,
Ariz. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. He was born January 24, 1943 in
Jackson, Mich.

Ray graduated in June of 1961 from Michigan Center High School, where
he played football and baseball. He joined the U.S. Navy in April of
1963 and was honorably discharged in May of 1967, having served in the
Kitty Hawk, Midway and the Oriskany Aircraft carriers. Ray went on to
college, graduating from California State University in Long Beach,
Calif. with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in January of 1975.
Ray was a Senior Logistics Electrical Engineer. He worked on the B-2
Bomber, Unmanned Helicopter and Global Hawk. Ray was awarded Vietnam
Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Navy Unit
Commendation (Bronze Star). Ray competed in three marathons in Orange
county, Lompoc, and Carlsbad, California. He was Little League
President, Soccer Coach, coaching the Under 16 Girls US Youth Soccer
Team in 1986.

Ray lived in several places throughout his life including Michigan
Center, Jackson, Michigan, Downey, Anaheim and Carlsbad, California,
and Fort Mohave, Arizona. He married Irma Olivas Wooliever on
September 18, 1999. Ray enjoyed Deep Sea Fishing, Playing Poker
(gambling), betting on horseracing and bowling. He was a fan of Wayne
Gretzky, Ducks of Anaheim, Detroit Red Wings and Michigan Wolverines.

dollar bills? - Oh, it's my favorite daughter - Tell mom to stop being
mean to me. He was funny with a dry sarcastic sense of humor. Always
laughing and enjoying life. He was very supportive with family and
friends. He was a burst of energy to grow up with. Ray hated
cucumbers, pot pies and croutons. He loved Whitney Houston and Oldies
but Goodies songs.

Ray is survived by his wife, Irma Wooliever; daughters, Kelly Lopez,
Traci Scott, Helen Barragan, Sarah Debora and Elizabeth Macias; sons-
in-law, Ruben C. Lopez, Jr., Ray Barragan and Ismael Debora; sister,
Mollie (Bill) Brooks; grandchildren, Ruben C. Lopez III,
Vincent Garcia, Jacob Luevano, Jayden Craney, Mireya Debora, Angel
Debora, Corrina Ocasio, Steven Saucedo and Josette Saucedo; three
great-grandchildren; nephew and niece; grand-nieces and nephews. He
will be remembered by Michigan Center Classmates from Jackson,
Michigan, Northrup Grumman friends and co-workers, and Irma's family
and friends.

No viewing or services will be provided. Ray will be cremated per his
request, his ashes will be spread with the Elk in the mountains.
