| Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona August 5, 1973 John D. Kelly rites August 6 A lifelong resident of Prescott, Mr. John D. " Jack " Kelly, 54, died Thursday morning at Whipple Veterans Administration Center. Since 1937, he had been associated with the Kelly Freight Lines of Prescott and served as vice-president at the time of his death. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Monday, August 6 at Ruffner Funeral Home with cremation following. The Rev. Merle Heatwole will officiate with the B.P.O. Elks Lodge conducting concluding services. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Kelly was born in Prescott February 18th, 1919. He attended Prescott schools and was an Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Elks Lodge number 330 of Prescott and a member of the smoki people of Prescott Survivors are: his widow, Lucille of Prescott; a son Shaun T, a Cadet at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.; two sisters Mrs. John Wilda of Prescott and Mrs. Bonnie Jacoby of Fresno Calif.; and two brothers Frank and Bill both of Prescott. |
