Prescott Courier, Prescott Arizona Sunday April 26th, 1973 Heckethorn rites planned Monday James Marion Heckethorn, 32, was found dead in his car at Yeager Canyon, near Mingus Mt. Thursday. He was born in Flagstaff and had lived in the Prescott area all of his life, residing at the Prescott Country Club. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memory Chapel with Reverend Archie H. Marsh of the Nazarene Church officiating. Burial is planned in the Veteran Administration Cemetery, with full military honors. Mr. Heckathorn was a contractor in the Prescott area and Northern Arizona. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and served as a E/1 Fireman. He attended the Prescott public schools, and formerly worked at the Prescott Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Sally, of Prescott; two sons, Douglas and Steven; a daughter Janet, all at the home, two step-sons, John T. And Michael G. Holmes, all of Prescott; three Brothers, Dan of Prescott, Jack of El Cajon, Calif., and Francis of Skull Valley; and his mother Mrs. Verla Heckathorn of Prescott.
