GAINES, Robert D.

Published in Mohave Daily News Online on May 7, 2021 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Robert "Bob" D. Gaines, age 81, a 44-year resident of Bullhead City, Arizona passed away peacefully at his home with loving family by his side on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. He was born to Harold and Elsie Gaines in Culver City, California on October 17, 1939. After graduating from Venice High School, he met Mercy in Venice, California where they were married on July 23, 1959. Making their home in Southern California they started their family with two sons and a daughter before moving to Bullhead City in 1977. Bob had a lifelong career as a long-haul truck driver. Following his retirement, he spent quality time with family and manicuring his beautiful yard he loved so much. Bob was preceded in death by both his parents; brother, Richard Gaines; son, Robert B. Gaines; and his grandson, Joshua (Josh) J. Turner. He is survived by his wife, Mercy; son, Timothy Gaines; daughter, Monica (William) Turner; and sister, Geraldine Lyons. A Celebration of Life with family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Turner's residence. Bob will be truly missed!
