| Published in Today's News Herald on May 9, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona >> 1943 - 2021 << Joseph Mangibin (Lopez) Camaya was born August 17, 1943 in Monterey Park, California to Clara Carter and Angelo Lopez. He is survived by his brother, William Acebes and William's wife, Brenda. Joseph is survived by his spouse, Samuel Park and his Ragtail cat, Ralph. Joseph was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1962. Joseph worked for Western Label in California for 25 years as a graphic artist. He continued his love of art after retiring by painting with oils and decorating gourds. He incorporated natural materials in his artwork. In addition to the arts, he was an excellent cook and known for his cheesecake. He was a supporter of animal rights and of the Western Arizona Humane Society. Joseph and Samuel lived in Yucca Valley, CA from 1997-2009, moved to Rainbow Acres in Quartzite, AZ from 2009-2014. One of Joseph's favorite things about living in the desert was the wildlife as he was an avid lover of animals. They moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ in 2014. Arrangements were placed in the care of Bradbury Memorial Center, Lake Havasu City, AZ. |
