He moved to Yuma in 1953 and attended local schools and graduated from Yuma High in 1959. He then attended Arizona State College in Flagstaff (NAU) and graduated in 1965. He went to work at Yuma Proving Ground in Yuma, where he spent 37 years. In 1976 he married Leandra. Together they had 45 years of happiness. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lonelle Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Leandra and son, Robert (Kay) Anderson, daughter Gina Anderson and granddaughter, Katharine Anderson.
