| Published in Yuma Sun on May 18, 2021 - Yuma, Arizona - Betty L. Wallick, age 94, of York Township, York, formerly of Arizona, died at 7:30 PM Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Country Meadows of York- South. She was the wife of the late Philip H. Wallick Jr. and the companion of the late Bob L. Butcher for 23 years. Born November 3, 1926 in Sedalia, Missouri, she was a daughter of the late Carl F. and Sarah (Cunningham) Urban. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Central Missouri State College, and retired in 1985 from Central York High School, where she taught English and Public Speaking for 30 years. She was active in Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority since college, and served as its National President from 1976-1980. She was a former member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in York, and Trinity United Methodist Church in Yuma. Mrs. Wallick is survived by a daughter, Sarah R. Beck, of York; a son, Philip H. Wallick, and his wife Sally, of York; three grandchildren, J.T. Krupa (Maryam), Joshua Krupa (Stacia), and Lindsey Daly (Deven); and seven great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Frank M. Urban. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Mount Rose Cemetery, with The Reverend Leon Via officiating. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
