| Published in The Arizona Republic on May 22, 2021 - Phoenix, Arizona - Phoenix - Robert Gracia Jr (Bobby), 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family May 16, 2021. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Lupe Gracia. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Evelyn; 5 children, Robert Gracia III, Tanya Gracia, Frankie (Myleen) Garcia, Marcos (Alice) Garcia, and Xavier B. Gracia; 1 brother Francisco Gracia; 2 sisters Erlinda Sandoval and Josie (Robert) Pena; 13 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Robert was born January 12, 1946 in Gilbert, Arizona in the home where he grew up. He then moved to Phoenix and attended P.U.H.S. After graduating, he joined the army and served in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne. Robert worked for J.R. McDade Co. for greater then 50 years. Robert was loved by so many family & friends. He was a generous man who gave to everyone who was in need. He lived life to the fullest and was known for his salsa which he gave to everyone. He loved going to Show Low and spending time with family and friends, planting and gardening there. He enjoyed drinking Coors Light and dancing the Electric Slide. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center, Honor Health, and the many doctors, & nurses who attended him in his journey home. Memorial Service for Robert will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at Madison Baptist Church, 6202 N 12th St. Phoenix, AZ 85014 with viewing from 4:30-5:30pm, service from 5:30-7:30pm. Funeral service and interment will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, 4310 E. Southern Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85042 from 11:00am-1:00pm. A celebration of life will be held following the interment at American Legion Post 41, 715 S. 2nd Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85003. See Also: Find A Grave |
