| Published in Today's News Herald on May 23, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Gene Paul Jenkins, 75, passed away on May 16, 2021. He was born August 30, 1945 in Oxnard, California to Elmer and Pauline Jenkins. Gene grew up in California and then enlisted in the Navy in 1966, shortly after marrying Susan. They celebrated 55 years together, during that time had 2 children, Traci and Teri. In 1979, they moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He enjoyed hot rods, street rods, boating, kayaking, camping and playing his Doo-Wop music loud. Gene loved U.S. National Parks, i.e. Yosemite, Glacier, Yellowstone, etc. His time was always spent with his loving wife and his grandchildren. Gene is survived by his Wife Susan Jenkins; Children, Traci Perry and Teri Wickstrom and 4 Grandchildren, Tayler Worthen, Tori Worthen, Savanna Wickstrom and Lilli Wickstrom. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Pauline Jenkins. He was a kind, calm, amazing man who would do anything for his family and loving up to the very end. Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
