William Edward Nubson

William "Bill" Nubson, 78, passed away on Feb. 11, 2021, from
complications of pulmonary fibrosis. Bill was born William Edward
Nubson on July 6, 1942, in Richfield, Minnesota, to Edward and
Marion Nubson. He was raised in Excelsior, Minnesota, and attended
schools there. Bill later served in the Marine Corps and following
his military service he returned home and in 1980 he made his way to
Arizona settling in Wickenburg where he worked in mobile equipment
repair for a time and then established Nubson Construction.

In 1986, he met and married Marilyn and they worked together and
eventually constructed and opened a restaurant in Vicksburg which
they operated for several years until moving back to Wickenburg and
later retiring in 2019. Bill was a longtime member and former
commander of the American Legion Kellis-Draper Post 12 in
Wickenburg. He was active in the community and served a lot of
people in many ways. He had a big heart and was extremely generous
with his time and service to others.

Bill is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marilyn of Wickenburg; two
daughters Leslee and Rachel; and four grandchildren; five step-
children Marcy, Leah, Janine, Brad and Ron; as well as a sister,
Faith; and a brother, Dickie. A celebration of life with military
honors will be held in the near future with the date and time to be

A memorial service for William "Bill" Nubson will be held on March
2, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the American Legion Kellis-Draper Post #12 in
Wickenburg.
