| Published in Yuma Sun on May 23, 2021 - Yuma, Arizona - Franklin D. Woon passed away peacefully at his home on May 12, 2021. Frank was born on June 21, 1949 to Yoke Sun Woon (Chuck) and Betty Woon. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Yee Bon Woon and Ben Woon. He is survived by his sisters Penny, Sue, Sandra, Debbie, and their families. Frank was born, raised, and lived his entire life in Yuma, AZ. He graduated from Yuma High School in 1967 and attended the University of Arizona for four years. Frank's first love was bowling, and he wanted to become a professional bowler. He enjoyed many activities, including golf, horse-racing, and poker. He worked most of his life in the agriculture industry as a set-off and his last years as a forklift operator in the produce business for Nunes Cooling. Frank faithfully and lovingly kept his promise to his mother to keep her garden growing every year after her death. Frank will be remembered as a kind soul who always put his family and friends first above himself. Frank would like to thank all his friends in Mendota, Fresno, and Yuma for their continued support and prayers. Per Frank's request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you keep Frank in your thoughts. His final resting place will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
