Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Marilyn
Tigges, passed away at home surrounded by her husband and children on
May 17, 2021.

Marilyn was born June 5, 1940 in Cherokee, Iowa, to John and Velma
Laposky. She married Neal Tigges in 1959 and they celebrated their
62nd anniversary in January. Neal and Marilyn moved to Arizona in 1961
to make their future in Phoenix. They had 3 children. Marilyn was a
homemaker while the kids were growing up. She was a Den Mother and
Campfire Girls Leader. After the kids had grown and left home, she
worked as a receptionist for the hotel industry. Later, she worked as
a teacher's aide at Prince of Peace pre-school. She enjoyed the people
she worked with and the children there. She also enjoyed loving and
spoiling her many rescue dogs.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Neal, children Gary (Cindy), Fay
Winter (Bill), and Allen. She greatly loved and enjoyed spending time
with her grandchildren Alicia Natwick (Evan), Aric, Taryn, and
Nicholas. Her great granddaughter, Nora Natwick, was very special to
her.

No services are planned. Friends and family are invited to a memorial
open house at her home, 6236 E. Corrine Dr. on June 5, 2021 from 11:00
AM to 3:00 PM. This would have been her 81st birthday. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests memorial donations to cancer research
organizations, Hospice of the Valley or Home Fur Good animal rescue.
