Lucy (Minton) Maish

Phoenix, Arizona -

Scottsdale - Lucy Maish, 89, passed away peacefully at home in
Scottsdale, Arizona May 19, 2021. She was with her daughter and son
when she left the world.

Lucy was born October 6, 1931 in Warsaw, Indiana to Israel and Evelyn
Minton. She graduated High School in 1949 and attended Ball State
College in Muncie, Indiana.

She studied Nursing at St. Petersburg College in Florida, and after
graduating moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and started a lifelong career
in Nursing. During her career she worked in Cardiac and ICU nursing at
Scottsdale Memorial Hospital where she became the nursing director of
those departments. She had tremendous impact on countless patients and
hospital staff who she worked with over her nursing career.

Lucy is survived by her daughter Robin, son-in-law Hector in Chandler;
son Scott and daughter-in-law Marta Silva in Tucson. She had two
grandchildren, Caitlin and Jessica. She is reunited with her brother
Robert Minton in heaven and will be dearly missed by sister-in-law
Mary Ann and nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Lucy loved staying in her second home in Pine, playing golf, and
spending time with her many friends and family. She will be remembered
by everyone she met for her humor, wit, and caring nature.

A Memorial Service will be held at Shepherd of the Desert Church in
Scottdale on May 28 at 10:30 am. followed immediately after by burial
at the Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers
donations can be made to Shepherd of the Desert Church
