MURPHY, Patti Haines

On May 13, she peacefully left us from her home in Surprise, AZ. Patti graduated with Honors from Corvallis, Hi, Lewis and Clark College, and Portland State with a Master Degree. She was very talented, high spirited, creative, compassionate and spiritual. Patti was the ultimate communicator and loved by everyone, be them 1 or 100. In 1956, was Miss Portland, and was only a few inches short of being voted Miss Oregon. Proceeding in death by daughter Tracia Brook Hagy. Patti is leaving husband Edward Murphy, daughter Teri Hunt plus husband, and 4 grand children; and son Brad Newman plus wife and 2 grand children. There will not be Formal Memorial Services. Patti always said: "be my friend and enjoy life with me while I'm with you, and please don't cry for me when I'm gone."
