| Published in Yuma Sun on May 30, 2021 - Yuma, Arizona >> October 14, 1941 May 29th, 2021 << Elsa Reta Smith of Yuma Arizona went to be with her heavenly father on March, 24, 2021. Reta is survived by her 4 daughters, Daniele (Steve) Archer, Pamela Smith, Debra Hickie and Sharrie (Randy) Judd; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Dora Welch and many nieces and nephews. Reta was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, David Smith, parents, Elzie and Beulah Welch, brother Newell David Welch, and grandson, Cody James Power. Reta retired from teaching at Woodard Jr. High School. She was an avid Yankees fan, longtime softball coach, enjoyed bowling, bingo and spending time with her family and friends. She has touched many lives and will be missed by all. There will be a viewing at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S. 1st Ave, Yuma, AZ on June 11, 2021 from 4pm to 8pm.
