HUDSSON, Alvin Joe


Published in Yuma Sun on May 30, 2021 - Yuma, Arizona - Alvin Joe Hudson, 91, of Yuma, Arizona, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2021, while surrounded by family and friends. He was born to parents Alvin and Dorothy Hudson, in 1930, in Wellton, Arizona and was raised by Don Moles and Dorothy. As a child, Joe moved to Burke, Idaho and attended high school there. In his early 20s, he moved back to Arizona and settled in Yuma. Joe soon found the love of his life Jody and they married in 1952. Joe is survived by his wife Jody, brother, Bill Hudson, and sons Jeffrey Hudson and Joel Hudson. In addition, he is survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joe was predeceased by his parents Alvin and Dorothy Hudson, Don Moles, and his brother Chuck Moles. Joe was employed as a hydroelectric power plant operator by the Yuma County Water Users. He was known for his uncanny ability to to be able to repair just about anything and for his skill in building beautiful homes all while carrying a cup of coffee in one hand and holding Jody close by with the other. They were true partners in every sense of the word. Joe was a dedicated and loving husband for 68 years, and a teacher of skills, love, and character to his sons.
