| Arizona Republic (Phoenix, Arizona) Monday, January 6, 1969, p. 12 A. Romero, retired cook PRESCOTT--Services for Aristo B. "Ernie" Romero, 73, who died Saturday in Ft. Whipple Veterans Hospital near here, will be at 7 p.m. today in Chapel of the Garden Mortuary. Burial with military honors will be in the Veterans Administration Cemetery. Born in Albuquerque, Mr. Romero moved to Prescott 36 years ago from Winslow. He had worked as a brick mason in Winslow. For 28 years prior to his retirement five years ago he worked as a dietary cook in the hospital at Ft. Whipple. Mr. Romero was an usher and board member of the First Church of God here and a member of the Bucky O'Neill Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an Army veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, Damacia; a son, Eli of Prescott; a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Sallee of Scottsdale; and a sister, Mrs. Rose Padilla of Prescott.
