The News Journal (Wilmington, Delaware) Sunday, May 24, 2015 Beatrice McCauley (1909 - 2015) AGE: 105 * Newark Beatrice K. McCauley, age 105, of Newark, DE, affectionately known as "Aunt Bea" to those who were blessed to have known her, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2015, at Brookdale White Chapel, where she resided. Born on a homestead in western North Dakota on December 7, 1909, Mrs. McCauley worked in the Navy Dept. during WWII. She later made a career as a secretary at the University of Delaware. In addition to her parents, Thomas J. and Frances E. (Hervig) Kennedy, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard K. McCauley; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. Mrs. McCauley is survived by a brother, Howard Kennedy of Wickenburg, AZ; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services and interment will be held privately.
