Lovingly remembered by children, Christine Toney of Lake Havasu City, Heath (Denise) Toney of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Marcus, Piper, Eric and Stephanie; sister, Diana Nash of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. The world has lost a great man. John joined the Army in 1968 and served two tours in Vietnam. He retired in 1988 as a 1st SG 75th Ranger Regiment. He was a proud soldier and loved his country. In 1970, John married the love of his life, Susan Ball. Together they raised two children, Christine and Heath, and lived and loved for over 51 years. John was fighting the battle in his body and the body won. God has a greater plan for him, as he will still be watching over us as we grow and live our lives without him. John will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Loved till our last breath for he was our rock that can never be replaced. "I'll be seeing you."
