| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, June 9, 2021, p. A-5 Donald Paul Kromer, age 86, passed away on May 21, 2021. Donald was born January 28, 1935 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. He joined the Marines and served in the Korean War. He would often relate many stories of his service as a Marine. He married and had three children: Donny (Nancy), Cheryl and David (deceased). After that marriage and several years later he met Bonnie with her five children: Kathy, Linda, Sandee (Chris), Janet, Otto (Diane); grandchildren: Melinda, Brad, Michael, Josh and Tyler and also seven great-grandchildren. Don and Bonnie with five children moved to California in the sixty's. Where Don was a member of the Southwest Varmint Calling Association. He had won many trophies and patches for his jacket with his many accomplishments. He lived and breathed hunting, fishing, war movies, westerns and his family. He loved Arizona especially the White Mountains which the family spent many a summer there. He certainly had a gift of gab, which helped him as a bar tender at the Rancher Bar for several years. Toward the end he spent many hours talking to his son Donny, friends and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Bonnie and children. As per Donald's request he wanted just a small family gathering for his Celebration of Life.
