Published by Today's News Herald from Jun. 3 to Jun. 7, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Lionel Curtis Mhyre, "Curt", 75, passed away May 31, 2021 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Curt was born May 25, 1946 in Burbank, California to Curtis and Ferne Mhyre. He married the love of his life, Doris, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they were blessed with 39 years of marriage. Curt served in the United States Navy for 26 years and retired as Senior Chief. He worked for Lake Havasu High School for 15 years, audio and video. He helped during graduation ceremonies every year. He won several awards in audio contests. He enjoyed playing the piano and computers. He loved his dogs, Penney, Honey, Toby, Cheyenne, Rosey and Ginger. Curt was a member of Lamb of God Church. Curt is survived by his wife Doris, his son Joseph, his daughters, Karri and Tia and his six grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 at 4:00 pm – 6:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Curt's Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home with a Graveside Service to follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
