| Published by Mohave Daily News Online on Aug. 1, 2021 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Sanford Travis McDowell, age 60, a 35-year resident of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021. He was born October 23, 1960 in Needles, Calif. Sanford joined the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a Corporate Tribal Government Security Officer. He was preceded in death by his father, Sanford P. McDowell; mother, Neoma Tahbo; sisters, Emmaline Tahbo and Iris McDowell; brother, Laiqi Lomavitu, Sr. He is survived by his sisters, Donna Armstrong of Parker, Ariz., Elouise Doama of Polacca, Ariz., Nora McDowell of Mohave Valley, Ariz. and Betsy Lewis of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; brothers, Kyrate K. Lomavitu, Sr. of Kingman, Ariz. and Clyde McDowell of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; and many many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Fort Mojave Tribal Gymnasium. Traditional services to follow at Fort Mojave Mourning Hall. Traditional Fort Mojave cremation will commence at 4 am at the Fort Mojave Tribal Cemetery in Needles, CA. Arrangements were handled by Desert Lawn Funeral Home, Mohave Valley, AZ. |
