Christine Ellen Medley was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and
friend. She departed this life all too suddenly on July 16, 2021, in
Scottsdale, Arizona at age 51, shortly after being diagnosed with
cancer. She was born to Paul and Susan Lyon on February 24, 1970, in
Saint Mary's, Pennsylvania.

She grew up in Emporium, Pennsylvania and graduated from Cameron
County High School. In 1998 she and her daughter, Serena Rowan, moved
to Needles, California where she worked in assisted living management,
then as a Head Start teacher, and finally as Director of the Fort
Mojave Indian Tribe Office of Emergency Management.

Christine loved to sing, bake, and spend time spoiling her
granddaughter. Music was her passion, even from a young age, and her
biggest smiles were when she had a microphone in hand. She also had a
passion for helping people and was the current Past Madam President
for the Needles Eagles.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lyle Lyon.
Christine is survived by her daughter, Serena Rowan; stepdaughter,
Kaitlyn Medley; granddaughter, Adelaine Angel; parents, Paul and Susan
Lyon; brother, Scott Lyon; three sisters, Lori Kocholek, Heather
Hallowell, and Holly Clark; grandmother, Ellen Lyon; fiancé, James
Whalen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021, at
Diamond & Sons Mortuary, 222 E Street in Needles, California, followed
by a Celebration of Life at the Needles Eagles Lodge, 729 Front
Street.
