Yuma, Arizona -

Rita LaNae Riggs beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, passed away July
26, 2021 after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer.

Born October 9,1952, in Miles City, Montana to Betty and Leonard Rost.

Rita grew up in Washington State throughout the Kitsap area and was a
graduate of North Kitsap High School (1970).

Rita continued to live in the Kitsap area where she married, raised
her three children, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren,
and family. She had a passion and talent for interior decorating, and
gardening. Rita loved cooking, sewing, RV camping, and fishing with
her hubby, together they were always ready and planning their next
adventure. For over 25 years Rita enjoyed her career in glass and
millwork which allowed her to touch on her passion for design and
decorating. When Carl announced his retirement 13 years ago Rita said
me too, and thus began their next adventure. In search of sunshine,
the couple finally settled in Yuma, Arizona where Rita called home for
the last 6 years.

Rita is remembered lovingly by her mother Betty Rost; husband Carl;
brother Wayne (Debbie); Sisters Rhonda Johnson (Mark) and Lori
McChesney; Three children Ryan, Gina Worden (Eric), and Tami Alameda
(James) in addition to 7 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Leonard Rost.

In lieu of flowers please donate to your local breast cancer
foundation.

Many thanks to SW HOSPICE and SUNSET VISA FUNERAL HOME for their
caring support at this troubling time.
