Jacquie was born, July 12th, 1944 to Carl and Lucille Scheider, she
was raised in Manhattan, NY.

She was the youngest of three children, her brother Carl, and sister
Nancy. She grew up in a loving home and was very close to her parents,
brother and sister. She got married in 1962 when she was 18 and moved
to upstate NY, and by 1964 she had two daughters, Renae and Vicky.

Later she decided to move to a warmer climate, so in 1977 she and her
daughters moved to Lake Havasu. She loved this small town and the
community. She spent the rest of her life in Havasu trying to make it
a better place to live. She spent some time at Mohave College and then
went to Arizona State University, where she got her Bachelor’s and
then her Master’s Degree in Counseling in 1985. She loved school, she
loved to help people and she also loved teaching. She had a counseling
practice for many years and then she went into teaching at the local
college and she also helped get a school started for children who had
special needs. She loved teaching and helping the kids. Jacquie also
volunteered her time as a Mounty Patrol Officer. She loved horses and
enjoyed training them and helping others with their horses. She also
met a wonderful man in Lake Havasu, Meryl Poort, and married him.
Meryl was not only a wonderful husband, but he was her best friend.
Unfortunately, Meryl fell asleep in death on September 28th, 2006.

Jacquie spent many years in Donkey Acers, where she was surrounded by
wonderful neighbors and friends. Her neighbors were Julie & John
Mendez, Mickey & Arlene Szabo, Dana and Doug Sieker and John & Wife
Smith. They loved and cared for Jacquie and were always there when she
needed a hand, weather it was to bury a horse, or to catch a runaway
dog or assist with a home maintenance issue.

Jacquie also started studying the Bible with a nice lady who was one
of Jehovah's Witnesses in 2013. She found Bible truths to be
fascinating and she enjoyed her studies every week. She was able to
learn about the hope for the future and the wonderful plan Jehovah God
has for his people. She is now safe in his memory. Jacquie fell asleep
in death on June 19th 2021, she is survived by her 2 daughters, 2
granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter.
