Jerry Alton McDaniel

Jerry Alton McDaniel passed away on Aug.1, 2021, at home surrounded by
family, including his wife of 59 years Elizabeth Jo (Betty Jo)
(Heronema) McDaniel.

Jerry was born on Oct. 3, 1941, to Cecil Edgar and Florence Elizabeth
(Bates) McDaniel in Long Beach, California. Jerry grew up in the Long
Beach area where he had a career driving an MTA Bus for 23 years in
Los Angeles County. Upon retiring in 1998, Jerry and Betty Jo moved to
Lake Havasu City. Jerry was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic
Church. He was very active in the Knights of Columbus, 4th Order as
Treasurer for Bingo and the Knights of Columbus Corporation as well as
past Deputy Grand Knight.

He was known for helping anywhere he could, and it was said that he
would "give the shirt off his back" to someone in need. Jerry was
immensely proud of his family and loved to be surrounded by them
regardless of being at home in the pool or on the lake.

Jerry is survived by his wife Betty Jo McDaniel, son Gregory Paul
(Diane) McDaniel and daughter Michelle Lynn (McDaniel) Hedge; four
grandchildren-Gregory Paul McDaniel Jr, Michael Anthony Hedge, Kasey
Lynn McDaniel, and Mathew Patrick Hedge; three great-grandchildren-
Gannon, Graeson, Gunnor; nephew Tommy McDaniel and niece Regina Cline.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Russell McDaniel.

Mass will be held on Aug. 14, 2021, at 1 pm at Our Lady of the Lake
Catholic Church, 1975 Daytona Ave, Lake Havasu City with a reception
following at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 186 London Bridge Rd, Lake
Havasu City, AZ.

Services were entrusted to the care of Bradbury Memorial Center.
