Carol J. (Lines) Vandecar

Carol J. Vandecar, 86, of Kingman, passed away on July 23, 2021. She
was born on Aug. 11, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Anton and Alice
Koran Lines. She moved with her parents and younger sister to Oatman,
Arizona at the age of 14, where she attended Mohave County Union High
School. Carol met and married her husband Virgil in Oatman, where they
lived before moving to Kingman to raise their family. They also lived
in Oklahoma for a few years before returning to Kingman. Carol and
Virgil were married for 66 years.

Carol was employed for many years in Kingman and she retired from the
Clerk of Superior Court. She was an avid reader and loved history. She
also enjoyed cooking, baking and bowling. Carol was a member for many
years at Grace Lutheran Church in Kingman and also a member of the
United Methodist Church in Depew, Oklahoma.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband Virgil. She is survived by
her children Cindy (Chili) Childress, Vivienne (Jim) Grimes and Darren
(Annette) Vandecar; her sister Toni (Zeke) Mesa, of Kingman; and
sister-in-law Marie Tussing - Rollar of Prescott, Arizona; along with
many nieces and nephews. Carol has 12 grandchildren, 26 great-
grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give our heartfelt gratitude to Crystal Brown
and her staff at Hope Haven Assisted Living. Also, Dr. Mahmood and
KRMC Hospice for the wonderful care that was given to her.

A private family service will be at a later date at Grace Lutheran
Church. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of
your choice.
