| Published in The Miner on Aug. 10, 2021 - Kingman, Arizona - Robert (Bob) Louis Stevenson, 89, of Kingman, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his home with family by his side Monday, Aug. 2, 2021. Born Sept. 2, 1931 in Brownfield, Texas to his proud parents Hugh and Mary Stevenson, was raised in Fowler, Indiana where he excelled in basketball, later joining the Military as a Navy pilot and serving honorably in the Korean War. He would later move to Arizona where he met and married Arlene and would live out the remainder of his life. Bob touched so many lives through his work as a General Contractor, building custom homes for so many families. But his life was so much more than building homes. He built a life for his family filled with unconditional love, and was generous with discipline and life lessons. He was a dedicated husband, father and friend, one who leaves a legacy of love. He was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors and wildlife, and especially loved his hunting/camping buddies. That was where he was truly his happiest. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife Arlene and son Scooter. He is survived by his children Darrel (Linda) Tyree, Joe Tyree, Lynn (Mike) Krenz, Gail (Todd) Tarson, Tari Penrod and Dawn (Anthony) Evanoff; and children from a previous marriage Mark (Marti) Thompson, Mikki (Jo) Wiggins, Greg (Linda) Thompson) and Kim (Dave) Coffing; and his many wonderful grandchildren. Per his final wishes Bob requested no services, instead choosing to have his ashes spread privately by family at his favorite spot in Sycamore Canyon near Williams, Arizona. The family appreciates all of the love expressed by our friends. Your outreach of love and kindness means more than we can ever express. See Also: Find A Grave |
