| Published in The Miner on Aug. 10, 2021 - Kingman, Arizona - Dorothy I. Sterling was born July 16, 1920 in Missouri. She is survived by her daughter Sue Nolen and her son Robert Sterling. She had six grandchildren: Tim Sterling, Bobbie Jo, Theresa, Tommy Blocker and Dee Laux. She had 13 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great grandchildren. She lived in Kingman, Arizona since 1950 and attended the 1st Southern Baptist Church for at least 40 years. She worked for the Pentagon in 1939 and eventually retired for Citizen’s Utilities in 1990. She came out of retirement and officially retired in 2009 from the Salvation Army. Dorothy didn’t have much but she had a love for the Lord, like no other. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. at the Mountain View Cemetery on Stockton Hill Road. There will be visitation from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Sutton Funeral Home on Sycamore. We would love for all those that knew Dorothy to stop by and say hello. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in her name to Chase Bank to help pay for her final resting place. See Also: Find A Grave |
