Shirley Ann (Morris) Palmer

Shirley Ann (Morris) Palmer passed away on August 1, 2021, at the home
she shared with her long term significant other, Myron Westcott, in
Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Shirley was born on June 10, 1941, to Ralph and Mildred (Johnson)
Morris in Stuart, Nebraska. As an adult, Shirley lived in Texas where
she worked in property management and Denver, Colorado where she
worked as a receptionist for Verizon. Upon retiring in 1999, Shirley
met Myron in Denver and they have been inseparable ever since. They
travelled together as "snowbirds" for 3 years, dry camping in
Quartzite and the Yuma Proving Ground prior to settling in Lake Havasu
City in 2001. Shirley enjoyed fishing and boating on the lake with
Myron.

Shirley was known for her love of rescuing dogs; up to six at one
time. Shirley was active in the Eagles auxiliary, Moose Lodge and VFW
auxiliary, as well as being past President of the American Legion
auxiliary. Her hobbies included sewing and needlework. Shirley helped
Myron restore three pontoon boats by re-upholstering the benches and
chairs.

Shirley is survived by her long term significant other, Myron
Westcott, her daughters Cheryl (Smith) Trzupek (Richard), Patricia
(Smith) Yount and son Michael Smith; six grandchildren, three great-
grandchildren and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Verna Fisher.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 20, 2021, at 1:00pm at
the Lake Havasu Elks Lodge, located at 3532 McCulloch Blvd N, Lake
Havasu City, Arizona.

Services were placed in the care of Bradbury Memorial Center, LHC.
