Ida was born in Genoa, Italy on Jan 16, 1929 to Pierina Molin and
Pietro Novarese. While being born the opera was playing Aida on the
radio so her mother named her Ida.

She had a very happy childhood, until the war. She was living with her
parents in Bolzano, Italy. Bolzano is located at the foot of the
Italian Alps. There is a railroad tunnel that goes through the
Austrian side in Bolzano was a large concentration of German Armor.
That was constantly being bombed by British and American bombers. When
the alarm came on every one would take shelter in the tunnel. Many
homes were damaged including hers. Ida was 14 years old at the time.

In 1948 while vacationing in Trieste, Italy she met Mike Quiroz. It
was love at first sight. Ida and Mike were married August 16, 1950 in
the third Battalion Chapel by Chaplin O'Coner. Third Battalion was
part of the 351st infantry 88th division.

Ida loved the Army life. Pack up and move every four years to
different locations. Mike retired after twenty one years of Army life.
Ida is survived by three sons; Patrick born Fort Ord, California
living in Orange California, Robert born in Fort Ord, California and
Michael, born in an army hospital in Stuttgart, Germany.

Ida suffered immensely requiring oxygen and nebulizer treatments.
Leitz-Fraze is taking care of arrangements. Ida requested cremation to
be added to Mike's when he passes and scattered around Mike's place of
birth Gleeson, Arizona.

Thank you for a happy life for ninety years. Rest in peace I love you.
Michele.
