Margaret (Maggie) (Michaels) Vanderpool

Parents: Cyril Michaels and Eugenia Jennings
Born in Los Angeles, CA August 30, 1935. Maggie was raised in
Prescott, Arizona. In 1963 Margaret moved to Las Vegas, NV and worked
in various casinos and horse race tracks.

In 1966 she was part of the management team that opened Caesars
Palace, where she later became Director of Special Events.

In 1971 Margaret married Marvin Vanderpool and they moved to Boulder
City, NV where they resided until relocating in 1991 to Lake Havasu
City, AZ.

After her retirement and subsequent move to Lake Havasu she became
heavily involved in Avon and in 1995 opened "Maggie's Avon". She was
highly successful in this operation and for 6 years was awarded
President's Council Status and enjoyed awarded trips to places from an
Alaska Cruise, Cancun and Hawaii.

Margaret loved to travel - made 3 trips to Rome, Italy and Lourdes,
France as well as trips to Ireland, Asia, Australia, South America,
Antartica and Austria. Cruises totaling over 500 days, and train
travel in the Canadian Rockies were also highlights of her travels.
She was a lifelong Catholic and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake,
Catholic Daughters of America, Republican Women's Club and Western
Welcome.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, George (Gubby)
Lebesch, her step father, Albert Stanton Teal, her beloved mother Jean
Jennings Teal and husband of 42 years, Marv Vanderpool.

Maggie is survived by a step-brother Billy Stanton Teal of Santa Fe,
NM; cousins: Barbara Giberson, Bill Dawson, Bill Jennings, Mary Smith,
Alberta O'Hara of California, Mary Ann Sharp of St. David, AZ, Albert
Moreno, Teresa Varchavsky of CA and Mexico, and close friends, Diana
and Shannon Stebbens of Lake Havasu.

Rosary and Mass will be on Tuesday, August 17 at 11a at Our Lady of
the Lake Catholic Church.
