Shela Anne (Webster) Spainhower

Shela Anne (Webster) Spainhower passed away on Aug. 11, 2021,
surrounded by her family in Lake Havasu City.

Shela was born on Dec. 4, 1941, to Wilmer Webster and Goldie
(Reynolds) Webster in Hamburg, Iowa. Shela came to Southern California
as a child where she met the love of her life, Glenn Spainhower. They
were married in 1960 and lived happily until Glenn's passing in 2007.

Shela and Glenn enjoyed the Cal-Rod Club and were active participants.
Shela specialized in payroll and accounts payable for Glendora Country
Club in the 1980s and a clothing manufacturer prior to that. She is
remembered as a hard worker. Shela loved hanging out with family and
friends, and she loved quality time with her grandchildren. Shela
enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, playing Scrabble, and
traveling. After moving to Lake Havasu City in 2017, Shela served as a
greeter at Calvary Baptist Church and found it very fulfilling.

Shela is survived by sons Derek Spainhower and Scott Spainhower
(Janice); daughter Denise (Spainhower) Truex; grandchildren: Amber
(Spainhower) Ricafrente, Jenifer (Spainhower) Lohman, Justin Truex,
Joseph Truex, Jacob Truex, Jack Spainhower, Lauren Spainhower; great
grandchildren: Ava Ricafrente, Rainier Truex, Sophie Truex; her
sisters Sue (Webster) Fornoth, Debbie (Webster) Sidney, Becky
(Webster) Wederquist (Neal); nieces: Nikki (Fornoth) Legg, Melissa
Sidney, Dee Dee Zaycher, Teresa Webster, Christine Webster; nephews:
Jeffrey Sidney, timothy Sidney, Caleb Wederquist, Andrew Wederquist,
Dwayne Webster; sister-in-law Marlene Spainhower Zaycher; brother-in-
law John Zaycher. She had many, many first and second cousins as well
as over 12 great-nieces and nephews.

Shela is preceded in death by her parents and spouse, Glenn
Spainhower.

Shela was loved by her family and her friends, past (Thomas Baldwin
High School) and present. She will be greatly missed and thought of
often.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
