Chuck Cairns

Bullhead City, Arizona -

Chuck Cairns, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 in Las
Vegas, Nevada. He was born on September 20, 1928 in Sacramento,
California to Les and Louise Cairns.

After Chuck finished school, he joined the United States Army. He
served 4 years in which he defended his country in the Korean War as a
Corporal in the 2nd Armored Division. After being honorably
discharged, Chuck joined the California Highway Patrol. He spent 27
years patrolling the highways of California. After retiring from the
CHP, Chuck went to work for the County of San Bernardino. He served as
Constable, Marshall, and Deputy for a total of 15 years before
retiring for good.

Shortly after joining the CHP, Chuck married the love of his life,
Phyllis "Sue" Bentley. They were married for 57 years.

Chuck was a Life Member of the BPOE #1608 of Needles, California. He
was a true Elk and served as Exalted Ruler 1981-1982 and 1990-1991. "
Elks are never forgotten, never forsaken".

Chuck was preceded in death by his son, Robert Cairns.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Sue; son, David Cairns; granddaughters,
Kassandra Cairns and Danielle Mack; and his great-granddaughters,
Harper Davis and Charlie Mack.

Chuck was a loving husband, father, grandfather
and great- grandfather. He was also a true friend and gentleman.
He will be missed by his family and all of his friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday,
September 18, 2021 at the BPOE Lodge #1608 in Needles.
