| Published by Today's News Herald on Sep. 1, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Yves "Frantz" Jean Francois, 52, of Lake Havasu City is at peace now after struggling with Alzheimer's. He was born in Mariani,Port-Au- Prince, Haiti to Merion Jean Francois and Marie Yolene Sainnoval. He came to New York at the age of 14 knowing very little English and graduated from high school with honors. He joined the Marines and proudly served this country. SEMPER FI. He left Camp Pendleton and remained in San Clemente, California, where he was a plumber and met his wife, Bonnie. When Frantz was diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease, he became a certified personal trainer. He set up a gym in the garage and took his profession seriously. He was a marathon runner completing 27 marathons and many half marathons. He discovered Lake Havasu running the Havasu Half and purchased a home here not long after in 2010. He enjoyed walking by the channel and taking out the pedal boat with his dog Maizie. He loved football and baseball. Jets and Mets, no Nets. He also enjoyed soccer and was a Galaxy fan. Frantz is survived by his mother Marie Yolene Austin, his sister, Marie Erla Alcenat, his brothers Sanders and Gregory Sainnoval and his wife, Bonnie Jean Francois. Services will be held next month in New York. Arrangements were placed in the care of Desert Lawn Funeral Home-Lake Havasu City. |
