Mark J. Cauffman of New Britain and Enfield, Connecticut passed away
unexpectedly on August 4, 2021. Born in Bristol, Connecticut in 1963
he graduated from St. Anthony Grammar School, St. Paul Catholic High
School, Tunxis Community College, Central Connecticut State
University, and American International College with a Master of
Education degree. Mark was a devout Roman Catholic and attended St.
John's Seminary for a few years.

Mark loved teaching, and his sense of adventure sent him to Asia where
for the past 10 years he taught in South Korea, Taiwan, and China. At
the time of his passing he was teaching at Telesis Preparatory Academy
in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He enjoyed music and was a talented
guitar player. He loved American history and was a Civil War buff. He
followed current events, and was known to enjoy Taco Bell. Mark's
quick wit put a smile on people's faces and his unbounded energy
allowed him to enjoy long distance running and working out.

Mark was the son of Edgar W. and Ann Marie (Scrivani) Cauffman, both
deceased. He is survived by two brothers, Stephen Cauffman of New
Britain, Connecticut and Christopher Cauffman and his wife Kelli, of
East Hampton, Connecticut; his aunt, Francis Smith of Smithsburg,
Maryland; his uncle, Joseph Scrivani of West Chesterfield, New
Hampshire and his wife Lorraine Scrivani; and numerous cousins. Mark
was particularly close to his cousins AnnMarie DiLuzio of Enfield,
Connecticut and Maryellen DiLuzio of Easthampton, Massachusetts.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Swords for years of care and
guidance and Sandy Breece and the staff of Telesis Preparatory Academy
for their assistance and kindness.

A Mass will be held for Mark at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in
Hartford, Connecticut on August 28, 2021 at 11 a.m. Burial will take
place at the convenience of the family. For Mark's friends and
acquaintances in Arizona, a Mass will be held on August 28, 2021 at 11
