He was born in St. Louis and died in Lake Havasu City. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great- grandfather, in addition to uncle to many nieces and nephews. From being a fisherman, merchant seaman, he sailed around the world several times, and as a ship chandler, he had a very exciting life. Nat was known as a fantastic mandolin player. He was involved with the Knights of Columbus, Sons of Italy and a lifelong member of the Elks. What he really loved most was his wife Mary and his large extensive family. He loved sitting around the table and talking, he was always interested in what you did. He lived in San Francisco later moved to San Pedro, California in 1956. After his retirement, they moved to Lake Havasu City where he lived for 30 years enjoying his friends and especially garage sales and landscaping his front yard. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonardo and Phillie Russo, and sister Mary Rossi. He was survived by his wife Mary Russo of 48 years, his children Phyllis D'Aquanno, Leonard Russo & Nancy Giacalone Brothers and sisters Matt Russo, Margaret Miglio, Zina Rosso, Salvatore Russo and Anthony Russo, numerous cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. Nat will be truly be missed by everyone. |
