Redifer, age 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in Olympia, Washington where she resided for the last 15 years. She was born March 15, 1931 in Aberdeen, Washington. Shirley married Tom Redifer in Aberdeen, Washington in 1950 and raised five children with lots of adventures including many trips clam digging and vacations to Lake Chelan. Once the kids were raised, Shirley loved her work with the Aberdeen School District and helped many more children set their course for life. She also was the needle point extraordinaire and enjoyed making Christmas stockings for the grandkids. Shirley had a wonderful second act with Stanley Roehl where they lived in beautiful Priest Lake, Idaho and Bullhead City, Arizona. Shirley and Stanley traveled the world together, spending time in Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina, all of Europe, and enjoyed every moment of their time together. After Stanley passed, Shirley moved to Olympia, Washington. She will rest next to Stanley in Arizona. She was preceded in death by her sons, Thomas Michael Redifer and Ryan Gerald Redifer. Shirley is survived by her children, Roger (Janie) Redifer of Port Ludlow, Wash., Janet Bissell of Tacoma, Wash. and Lisa Fairbairn of Olympia, Wash. She had eight grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren who she loved to keep in touch with. She was Aunt to Ed (Casey) Cote of Vancouver, Wash. and Carla Zenner of Ocean Shores, Wash. |
