| Published by Today's News Herald on Sep. 29, 2021 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Born and raised in New Jersey, Peggy moved to California with her father as a young adult, where she eventually found a job at Cadillac Motor Company and married her husband Stan. After raising three children in San Jose, they retired and traveled through Canada and to Alaska, had a home in the California redwoods, and eventually settled at Crazy Horse Campground in Lake Havasu City to enjoy life by the lake. After Stan's death in 1992, she lived alone but kept busy. She loved pitching horseshoes, bowling, and line dancing. "Jam night" at the park was a special favorite. She was known for her gregarious nature; she knew the names of every regular at Crazy Horse and every clerk in every store she frequented. She often sat on her porch greeting people as they passed by and welcoming those who would join her for a smoke or a cocktail, or just to chat. Her final days were spent at Claremont Assisted Living, where she passed in a peaceful setting. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Peggy is survived by her brother Bill and his family, her children Pat, Laurie and Terry, three grandchildren, and a couple of really cute great-grandkids. Arrangement were placed in the care of Desert Lawn Lake Havasu City. |
