>> Arthur Edward Davis <<
>> September 3, 1936-May 30, 2020 <<

Arthur joined his Lord Jesus and family members before him after a long
battle with cancer. He is preceded by his wife, Carrie Davis, his
father and mother, Orson & Roma Lawrence, brother Raymond Davis and his
son Raymond Davis Jr. Family remaining is his brother Lynn Davis & wife
Myrna, sister Leora Bennett and brother-in-law Charles Bennett. Several
nieces and nephews, that he not only helped raise, but often took them
places for vacation and enjoyment of this country.

Arthur proudly served twenty years in the US Navy most in the submarine
service. He was affectionately nicknamed Grumpy by his fellow sailors
for his luck at winning at poker and dice. He spent about ten years with
Global Marine traveling all over the world working on drilling rigs with
his mechanical skills. The last 32 years he was an assistant A&E
teacher at Miramar College in San Diego, California. He retired in
January 2020. Art was an avid NASCAR fan. He owned several Corvettes
and his last car was a 2018 Camaro, for his 81st birthday. Although Art
lived most of his life in San Diego, California, since his wife died in
2006, he spent a lot of his time off in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

He considered it his second home. Due to his declining health, his
sister moved him here with the Bennett family the first of May to take
what care of him they could. Arthur will not only be missed by his long
time friends from childhood, his service comrades and fellow gambler-
bingo players, but mostly by his family known as a loving brother, uncle
and friend to all. Bon voyage Art. It’s smooth sailing from here on.
You will be missed.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am on September 3, 2020 at
Memorial Gardens in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and
Crematory and Memorials may be sent to the funeral home.
