David Barrett Lowry

Lake Havasu City, Arizona -

David Barrett Lowry ("Dave", "Barry"), 79, passed away suddenly at his
home Oct. 12, 2021. Dave was born May 9, 1942, in Abilene, Texas, to
Claude Oscar and Annie Lurlene Lowry.

David was a United States Army Specialist 4. He earned his Associate in
Science degree from Moorpark Community College. He proudly worked as an
officer with the California Highway Patrol for 30 years. Dave spent most
of his life in California, moving with his late spouse Jan to Lake
Havasu City 20 years ago upon retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of
the Lake Catholic Parish.

Dave was a kind and gentle man. He was honest to a fault. He loved his
family and his extended family. He enjoyed attending local car shows. He
honorably supported United States veterans.

A huge fan of the Arizona Cardinals, Dave was excited his team was 5 and
0. He also loved the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and the
USC Trojans - Fight on!

Dave is survived by his very special friend, Marie Russell; his son,
David Lowry (Rhonda Hyder) of Knoxville, Tennessee; his sisters, Mary-
Ann Kelley (Bill) of Lake Havasu City; and Lynn Delancy (Chuck) of
Abilene, Texas; son-in-law Bob Frederickson of Nebraska; his six
grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Janice Lowry; his
parents, Claude and Annie; his daughter, Donna Frederickson; his
brothers, Mickey Lowry, Tom Lowry, and Bob Lowry; and his sister Nancy
Reed, who joined Dave just days after his passing.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Oct. 25, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Parish, 1975 Daytona Drive, LHC,
AZ, 86403.

Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and
Crematory.
