He was born on August 1, 1968 in Needles, California. He was an all around handyman, always involved in his horses and cattle. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Smith Sr; brother, Frank Smith Jr. Michael is survived by his mother, Wilma Smith of Needles, California; two daughters, Micaela Smith and Katie (Smith) Chee, both of Havasu Lake, California; grandson, Brandon (Tucker) Chee of Havasu Lake, California; granddaughters, Hummingbird Chee and Cheyenne Peterson both of Havasu Lake, California; brothers, Franklyn Smith, Harry Smith and David John Smith; sisters, Marian Hamblin, Izetta (Smith) Courtwright, Linde Smith, Juanita Smith, Barbara (Smith) Martinez, and Rita (Smith) Rios; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Traditional Fort Mojave Tribal Service will be held from 6:00 pm to midnight on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Mourning Hall in Needles, California. Graveside Services will be at 9:00 am on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the Needles Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements made by Desert Lawn Funeral Home.
