| Published by Mohave Daily News Online from Nov. 3 to Nov. 4, 2021 - Bullhead City, Arizona - Gordon "Gordie" Curtis Leach, age 55, a resident of Fort Mohave, Arizona passed away suddenly due to the evil Covid on Wednesday, June 8, 2021 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gordie was born and raised in Anaheim, Calif. and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1984. He lived in various states throughout the years but his final destination was moving to Bullhead City, Ariz. in 2010. In 2012, Gordie went into his insurance agents office for a life changing review of his policies, where he met his future bride, Jo. Gordie loved the Lord, his family and friends and his country. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1987 to 1990 and always regretted not re-enlisting. He has covered almost every mile of our country as a truck driver, but was very proud driving for DOT Foods with his brand new Peterbilt they provided for him. Yet his biggest dream was to retire and simply spend every morning with his bride, sitting on the front porch drinking coffee and watching the humming birds, as he was a simple happy man. He was preceded in death by his proud father, Gordon Ray Leach, in which he missed dearly; mother-in-law, Martha Blake. Gordie is survived by his bride, Joanna "Jo" Leach of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; his mother, Mary Leach of Diamond Bar, Calif.; daughters, Valarie Leach and Abigail Leach from Bethlehem, Pa., Stephanie Montgomery, Jett Webber and Emma Dombey of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; and his precious grandsons, Pryce Siegfried from Bethlehem, Pa. and Petey Badilla from Fort Mohave, Ariz., all of which he loved and cherished with all his heart; his sister, Teresa (Chris) Boyles of Columbia, S.C.; brother, David (Pam) Leach of Canyon Lake, Calif.; brother, Don (Gabby) Leach of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; sister, Mary Compton of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; brother- in-law, Daniel Arbuckle-Alford of Yucaipa, Calif.; sister-in-law, Laura Butler of Ardmore, Okla,; his best friend, Jeff Gregg of Fernley, Nev.; and many many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. "Gordie, my precious love, it wasn't supposed to be this way, but apparently God has important work for you to do up there. Thank you for the time we had together, for your positive words of wisdom, your unconditional true love. I am a better human being because of you and I thank you for that. You were truly a blessing to anyone that has loved and crossed paths with you and have made such a positive impact in all of our lives. I will always, truly, forever, love you MORE"... Jo A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Los Lagos Golf Club in the banquet room, 6365 S. Entrada Via Verdes, Fort Mohave, AZ. There will be an Honor Guard at 4:00 pm. |
