| Bradbury Memorial Center - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Rodger Brian Reed left this world on October 4th, 2021, surrounded by family in Lake Havasu City at the age of 74. Rodger was born on September 25th, 1947 in Maywood, California to parents Grant and Faith Reed. As a youth growing up in Orange County, Rodger loved to snow/water ski, surf and play the bass guitar in a rock n' roll band with his brother and friends. Rodger used his master machinist skills while working on military contracts with his father. Rodger was drafted into the Army where he served three years and earned a Purple Heart during combat in the Vietnam War. After the war, Rodger worked at Mobile Oil Refinery in Southern California where he oversaw the prestigious hydrogen unit. Rodger moved to Parker in 1987 and worked as the lead Park Ranger at La Paz County Park. Some of Rodger's favorite past times revolved around being on the river, he was either out on a flat bottom boat or back home working on one of his many toys. Rodger also enjoyed golf and spent a great deal of time on the course. Rodger loved operating remote-control planes, boats, cars, or just about anything that he could tinker on and race. Rodger loved spending time with his brother, Greg Reed, and his many friends. Rodger is survived by his brother, Chris and Greg Reed, 7 nephews, and many cousins across the country. Services for Rodger will be held at 5pm on November 13th, at Redemption Hill Calvary Church (2925 Kiowa Blvd S, Lake Havasu City, 86404) |
