Ronald A. Zabinski went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 28,
2021 at the age of 77 years in Lake Havasu City, Arizona after a short
illness. Ron was born August 29, 1943 in Hillsboro, Oregon to John and
Fern Zabinski.

Ron led an amazing life of servitude, love and dedication to his family
and friends. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1961 to 1967. He was
proud of his service not only in the U.S. Marines, but also as a State
of Nevada public employee within the Department of Corrections. He was
very proud of his law enforcement career, contributions and support.

Ron had a passion for motorcycles, and a love of riding by himself, with
his wife and with friends. One of his greatest accomplishments was one
he was so proud of – the 10,000 mile ride called the 4-Corners Run,
wherein he touched all four corners of the United States, and back home
in 10 days. What stories he had to tell from his adventures!

Ron enjoyed the outdoors anywhere and everywhere including off-roading,
going to the mountains, desert and ocean. His love of the open road
brought about his motto, “it is not the destination, it is the journey.”
He had an eye for using a camera and taking photographs of wildlife and
nature. He had a love of visiting zoos, and he and his wife would visit
different zoos and wildlife adventure parks throughout the United
States.

Ron loved his family and his four-legged friends, as they were part of
his life and family as well. He loved to sing songs, especially old time
rock and roll, and Elvis. His playful mood included playing an air
guitar long before it became trendy.

Watching football, especially NFL games, gave him great pleasure each
season – in fact he couldn’t wait each year. He loved to barbeque, and
was always happy to fix food for family and friends – he just loved
being around people. His quick wit, sense of humor and great
storytelling aptitude made him fun and enjoyable to be around.

Ron showed courage and fortitude in everything he did, with a
perspective that would often make one stop and think and reflect. He
loved people, and enjoyed lively conversation and interchange. He
always showed a desire to support family and friends when in need. He
had a natural willingness to help others, teach, educate and advise. He
always wanted to improve others lives to the best of his ability.

He married the love of his life, Kathryn (Kathy) in 1998. They had many
journeys on the motorcycle, Bronco and Ford truck, traveling different
places in Nevada, California, Arizona, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, and
Texas, as well as many other places.

Ron was a member of St. Michael’s United Methodist Church in Lake Havasu
City. It was one of the most important events in his life he said to
become a member of the Church and show his dedication and love to the
Lord. And now, he is having a wonderful life in Heaven, joining loved
ones that have gone before and waiting for loved ones to join him.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, John and Fern, and his
daughter Aimee. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy, his loving
Pug, Brandy Rose, his sons Shon and Michael, and daughters Kamie and
Dana, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held early next year. Current
arrangements are cared for by Bradbury Memorial Center, in Lake Havasu
City. Your thoughts and condolences can be left for the family and
friends at www.BradburyMemorialCenter.com.
