Bernice C. Owen passed away peacefully in her home on Nov. 7, 2021.
Bernice was born Nov. 4, 1943 to Charles and Estelle Hopkins, the fourth
of 10 children. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Edward
Owen; her mother and father; and two sisters Lucille Sweeney and
Charlsie Ramay.

Bernice is survived by her four daughters Deborah Stafford, Peggy
Anderson and spouse Billy, Noreen Murphy and spouse Wes, and Audrey
Farmer; two sisters and five brothers. She was blessed with eight
grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and
extended family.

Bernice dedicated many years to the Girl Scouts of America mentoring
young girls to become strong, independent women. She also worked in the
Kingman school district as a lunch lady in the cafeteria then moving
into the education side as a kindergarten assistant and onto a special
needs speech therapy assistant until she retired.

After retirement from the school her desire to continue working with
special needs found her working with respite care families here in
Kingman. She thoroughly enjoyed her time spent with them and sharing
their Special Olympics games, cultural events and travel adventures.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday Nov. 20, 2021 at 11 a.m.
at the Foursquare church at 2215 Emerson Ave.
