Morris "Wayne" Uroff passed away from Covid-19 on January 25th, 2021,
three days before his 77th birthday.

Wayne (aka: "Morrie" to family) was an only child born to Mary Jean
Haproff and Morris Jack Uroff on January 28th, 1944, and grew up around
his extended Russian immigrant family in Vista, California.

After graduating high school in 1961, he joined the Navy to see the
world. Along the way, he obtained an AA in Mathematics which he applied
to his Naval work in electronics on the A6A Intruder amongst other jet
aircraft. Through his 23 year career cruising on aircraft carriers,
Wayne developed a love for traveling and learning about foreign cultures
and languages. In 1984, he retired from the Navy as an E9 (Avionics
Master Chief).

Wayne and his (now former) wife, Kathy Klingenberg Uroff, settled in her
hometown of Stanwood, Washington, to raise their two daughters. During
the next several years, he pursued further college education and worked
in the Stanwood community until he accepted a position at Boeing. This
next career led Wayne around the world again, this time working in
customer service positions for another 11 years.

Following retirement, divorce, and some soul searching, Wayne ultimately
put down roots in Bullhead City, Arizona, where he eventually remarried.
He loved desert life and spent his last 13 years rockhounding,
exploring, providing food and supplies for people in need, and sharing
his faith in Jesus with everyone he met. He was proud of his Russian
heritage and of being an American patriot.

Wayne is survived by Judith Balletto Uroff (Bullhead City, Arizona) with
whom he shared 10 years of marriage and a passionate faith in Jesus. He
is also survived by daughters, Dawn Uroff (Anacortes, Washington) and
Janelle Uroff (San Antonio, Texas). Per his request, his ashes were
scattered near those of his parents in Puget Sound, Washington.

Donations in memory of Wayne can be made to a charity of your choice
serving the homeless.
